The Roma Performance Horse Club (club changed the name in 2007) formly known as Roma Quarter Horse & Western Performance Club was started in 1996 to provide education and training in the equine industry in the area. The primary function of the group is to provide the funds, opportunity and a safe environment (both physically and financially) to hold training clinics and social days in the local area with specialised professionals.
The group filled a gap as there were no programs or clubs that particularly catered for adults in Roma or the surrounding area. The Club caters and encourages youth, however the emphasis is on those people whose age or interests make them ineligible for programs/ clubs such as Pony Club.
The club has grown and now has a membership register of over 45 members. These members include people from all ages and backgrounds, and a wide variety of equine industry interests.
